inergy Launches SiC SBD Series: High Power and Ultra-Low Leakage for High-Efficiency Power Designs
Hsinchu – Apr, 27, 2026 – inergy launches its Silicon Carbide Schottky Barrier Diodes (SiC SBD) series. The initial release features eight 650V models with current ratings ranging from 4A to 10A. Currently available in TO252-2L and TO220-2L packages, delivering high-performance solutions for industrial and high-power power systems designs.
Compared to silicon-based devices, Silicon Carbide (SiC) devices leverage wide bandgap (WBG) material properties to deliver ultra-low on-resistance and exceptional performance under high-temperature, high-voltage, and high-frequency operation.This series features exceptional reverse leakage current (IR) of less than 100nA at 125℃/600V — merely 1% of Silicon Fast Recovery Diodes (Si-FRD). These low-leakage characteristics significantly minimize thermal dissipation and conduction losses, enhancing system stability and reliability to meet the demands of high-end industrial power systems, energy storage systems, and data center servers. Key features as follows:
- Maximizing Power Density: Leveraging the advantages of Wide Bandgap (WBG) materials, this series supports high-voltage, high-frequency, and high-temperature operations.This enables the reduction of passive component sizes (such as inductors and capacitors), thereby maximizing the power density of power modules.
- Minimal Loss & Enhanced Robustness: Outperforms Silicon-based devices in leakage current control, effectively lowering heat generation and strengthening overall system reliability.
